Elbow的2012年也是大豐收的一年，不但創作了倫敦奧運的主題曲，B-side精選集《Dead in the Boots》也剛剛發行。
而Elbow的主唱Guy Garvey日前宣佈要和Elbow目前廠牌Fiction Records的負責人合作，再創立一個專門發行黑膠單曲的新廠牌。
在接受BBC Radio 4的訪問時，Garvey說：「我們發行的EP不會是一些食之無味的歌曲，而是20分鐘的唱片。自己管理音樂事業的年輕樂團可能原本只能透過巡迴賺錢，他們只要發行三張EP，就可以巡迴三次，所以這個計劃在商業上是可行的。」
他並補充：「我們的發行物是真正的音樂愛好者會想要找來聽的--就像在情人的口袋裡放入一個他們可能半年後才會發現的短箋。」
