Erasure的團長，也是Yazoo和Depeche Mode創始團員的Vince Clarke在官網發佈了一系列介紹合成器的搞笑影片，系列名稱是The Analogue Monologues（類比獨白）。
The Analogue Monologues is a series of mini video-documentaries made by Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode/Yazoo/Erasure). In each webisode Vince talks about one of his analogue synths and explains where the on/off switch is. This series proves, once and for all, that he really doesn't know much about anything (a must see!).
上面是介紹Korg MS20的影片，其中Clarke形容這台合成器「有很多個插孔，足以讓別人以為我很懂音樂，知道自己在做什麼」，還有一個「Aphex Twin才會用」的功能。

R.E.M.的名曲〈Losing My Religion〉被通常被視為親右派的美國電視新聞網Fox News（福斯新聞網）用於民主黨全國大會的報導中。立場左傾的R.E.M.在美國時間6日透過唱片公司華納唱片發表聲明，表示福斯新聞網並未取得使用歌曲的授權，要求他們停止在報導中使用該歌曲。
主唱Michael Stipe說：「我們並不苟同他們頻道浮誇的報導方式。我們的音樂不該出現在那邊。」
