美國drone metal始祖樂隊EARTH於Southern Lord發行了他們的新專輯《Primitive And Deadly》，這次除了主腦Dylan Carlson、鼓手Adrienne Davies以及Sun O)))的貝斯手Bill Herzog，還找來多位客座樂手參與專輯的製作，如Built To Spill的Brett Netson、Narrows的Jodie Cox 、Mark Lanegan與Rose Windows的Rabia Shaheen Qazi等。Mark Lanegan、Rabia Shaheen Qazi兩位歌聲的加入也讓EARTH的音樂更多了些迷幻、流行的味道。在匍匐緩慢的重音吉他下，彷彿讓人置身於荒涼卻又深邃的沙漠之地。
