彷彿今年還不夠悲傷，2013年結束前又傳來令人難過的消息，前Secret Machines的吉他手，School of Seven Bells的團員Benjamin Curtis在美國時間29號因淋巴癌過世，享年35歲。

Benjamin Curtis和他的哥哥Brandon Curtis本來都是德州搖滾團UFOFU的團員，2000年時兩兄弟組成了瞪鞋團Secret Machines，他們2004年的第一張專輯《Now Here Is Nowhere》融合迷幻搖滾、Krautrock和吉他噪音，是瞪鞋迷必聽的作品。

2007年Bejamin離開Secret Machines，和On!Air!Library!的雙胞胎姊妹Claudia Deheza和Alley Deheza組成Dream pop樂團School of Seven Bells，至今發行了三張專輯和幾張EP，首張專輯《Alpinisms》也是我們很喜愛的作品。

年初Benjamin Curtis經診斷得到淋巴癌，正在接受治療，沒想到他還是不敵病魔而英年早逝。少了Benjamin Curtis的世界頓失許多光彩，謝謝他帶給我們那麼多美麗的旋律，願他安息。下面是我們喜歡的一些Secret Machines和School of Seven Bells的歌曲。
