Synth-pop樂風的開創者之一Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark（簡稱OMD）今年即將成團35年，他們將在4月9日發行新專輯《English Electric》。專輯封面是由過去設計過多張Factory廠牌發行專輯的藝術家Peter Saville設計，既搶眼又現代。

主腦Andy McCluskey說，《English Electric》的主題是關於遺憾，特別是那些與自己原先期待落差甚大的事情。德國Synth-pop團體Kraftwerk的前團員Karl Bartos還有在〈Kissing the Machine〉一曲跨刀（Karl Barto今年也會出新專輯）。
