The Smiths應該是永遠不會重組了，Morrissey最近的健康狀況令人擔心，Johnny Marr也推出了個人專輯，不過最近有一張稱作《The Pablo Cuckoo Tape》的The Smiths早期錄音流出，記錄了他們1983年和廠牌Rough Trade簽約前的練團情形。The Smiths的前鼓手Mike Joyce也確認了這張Demo的真實性。
